Hilton and American Express Roll Out Limited-Time Card Offers

Hilton and American Express have refreshed welcome offers on four co-branded cards, giving travelers and business owners a new chance to earn Hilton Honors points and hotel perks through July 29, 2026. The updated offers apply to the Hilton Honors American Express Card, Hilton Honors Surpass Card, Hilton Honors Aspire Card, and Hilton Honors Business Card, according to card terms posted by American Express and Hilton.

What changed

The no-annual-fee Hilton Honors American Express Card is offering 100,000 bonus points and a $100 statement credit after $2,000 in purchases within six months. The Surpass Card now offers 130,000 bonus points after $3,000 in purchases, while the Aspire Card offers 175,000 bonus points after $6,000 in purchases. The Hilton Honors Business Card is also offering 130,000 bonus points after $8,000 in purchases within six months.

American Express says welcome offers may not be available to applicants who currently have or have previously had the same card, depending on eligibility checks and account history. That makes temporary bonus increases more important for consumers deciding when to apply.

Why the timing matters

Hilton Honors points can be useful, but their value varies widely by property and date. Industry valuations often place Hilton points around 0.5 to 0.6 cents each on average, which means 100,000 points may translate to roughly $500 to $600 in hotel value, while 175,000 points may be worth about $875 to $1,050 in stays.

At the same time, Hilton’s portfolio spans budget and luxury brands, including Hampton by Hilton, DoubleTree, Conrad, and Waldorf Astoria. That range gives cardholders more ways to redeem points, especially when booking award nights or using Hilton’s Points and Money option.

Perks beyond the bonus

The cards also carry status benefits and statement credits that can matter to frequent guests. The Hilton Honors Card includes Silver status, while the Surpass and Business cards include Gold status, and the Aspire Card includes top-tier Diamond status.

Hilton says some cards also offer Free Night Reward certificates and annual credits for eligible Hilton stays, flights, resort purchases, and CLEAR+ memberships. The Aspire Card, for example, includes up to $400 in resort credits, up to $200 in flight credits, and up to $209 for CLEAR+, based on Amex and Hilton terms.

What to watch next

For readers, the main takeaway is that the current offer window gives a better-than-usual opportunity to lock in points and perks before bonus levels change again. Travelers who want value from Hilton stays may want to compare the annual fee, status benefits, and spending thresholds before applying.

With the offers set to run through July 29, 2026, the next thing to watch is whether Hilton and American Express extend the bonuses, revise the point totals, or tighten eligibility rules further as demand for premium travel cards continues to shift.
